What is a Custom Tracking Domain?

A custom tracking domain is a branded domain or subdomain a sending tool uses for tracked links or pixels.

Tracking can change the links and formatting in your email. Open data can also be affected by privacy features and automated scanners, so it is not a dependable measure of genuine interest.

Custom tracking domains are not currently supported on sending.ac-managed domains. Do not add a tracking CNAME, replace DNS records, or change nameservers by following another platform's generic instructions.

For initial cold outreach, keep messages simple, avoid unnecessary tracking and links, and focus on genuine replies. If tracking is required for your workflow, ask support to review the options before changing the setup.

Using a custom domain elsewhere does not remove the delivery or privacy considerations associated with tracking.
