Mailbox API: Send and Read Mail

Use the current beta guide and avoid building against old events or webhook examples.

The Mailbox API is a beta integration for sending and reading mail from Microsoft 365 mailboxes on your account. For the current setup and endpoint reference, use the Mailbox API guide.

What is available

  • Send mail and read messages or folders for your own mailboxes.
  • Use the supported Microsoft Graph-style routes described in the current guide.

Events feeds, webhooks and Gmail access are not available yet. Do not build against the event or webhook examples from an older version of this article.

Before integrating

Use the current guide for the base URL and credential setup. Keep API keys secret and never include them in screenshots or support messages. This early API can change, so review the reference before implementing an integration.

Sending and errors

An HTTP 202 means the message was accepted, not that it reached the recipient. After a 502 on a send, the message may already have been sent; check before resending to avoid duplicates. Follow Retry-After on a 429.

For troubleshooting, contact support with the x-correlation-id response value. Account or key limits should be checked against the current guide; creating extra keys is not a workaround for a sending or rate-limit issue.
